At this price point, you generally aren't expecting much. I usually like to pick up cheap sets so that I can give them away when I get a spare computer for someone (as nobody likes used keyboards/mice). But this one I am definitely keeping.First the mouse. It moves like a dream. Tracking is fast and accurate. The wheel is very responsive and the buttons click firmly but very quietly. Honestly I love this mouse more than almost any other mouse I have. The mouse is defaulted to 1000 dpi, but can also do 1200 or 1600. I probably won't game with this set, so it doesn't matter to me, but if you do, this mouse might be just good enough for gaming while traveling.The keyboard is travel/laptop style, meaning the keys are flat, but they also have enough travel that you don't make any mistakes. I can type at 120 wpm and I feel like I can easily exceed 90 on this keyboard with no errors. The key travel is just enough, and while also quiet, it's a little louder than the mouse.Some other nice features are that the dongle (shared by both) can be stored in either the keyboard or the mouse when traveling. Also, be aware that the keyboard takes a single AAA battery and the mouse a single AA. Neither are included. If you are traveling, you'll probably want one spare battery of each type just to be safe.If you are an international user, this keyboard does include the Alt Gr key and also shows you the location of the € sign. Also, it has keys for volume and media controls among others. It also has an Email, My Computer and Favorite button, but these didn't work for me and the instruction sheet gives no indication how to program them. It doesn't matter much to me, because I never use keys like that anyway. The Backspace, Enter and Shift keys all seem smaller than on a regular keyboard, so it seems they made it a bit narrower, but I can't really tell in standard typing use, so that's a good compromise. Plus, it has stands which lift it up to a comfortable level for me, but you can put them down if you prefer that.I just realized that the mouse powers down to save power, so if you haven't moved it for a while, it may take a second to re-enable. That seems like a good battery-saving compromise as long as it isn't too often (and it doesn't seem to be).I prefer this set to any of those similarly priced sets from the large manufacturers. So in the future, if I am looking at a set at this price point, I will definitely choose this set over those.
