This mouse works like a charm. The ergonomics on this mouse is great. I like that it has four different cursor speeds so when I want to use it for gaming or wanting to speed through a project it works pretty good. What I don't like is that it is a bit small for my hand. But it's manageable. It’s good, just what I expected from a wireless mouseThis is a very nice mouse and I am happy it is working out so well. My old USB mouse was on its last legs so this mouse comes in at a good time. These observations are for the TECKNET Model M006 2.4 Ghz Cordless Mouse:The Pros:** A nice large "man size" mouse which fits my large hands quite well. It is comfortable and feels natural.** The 2.4G Wireless USB receiver came stored in the base so taught me right off the bat that this was a good place to keep it when not in use.** Wireless connectivity was instant and seamless. My Apple MACBOOK accepted it without blinking showing me the firmware is user friendly.** I tried several different surfaces to see if I could trick the mouse or affect its operation: I could not. Despite the instructions saying not to use on highly reflective surfaces, I tried it on a marble coffee table which had lots of angular crystals showing through the high polish and could tell no difference in operation from my flat one color mouse pad. And, you really don't need a mouse pad with this. In fact, after a time working, I put the mouse pad up because less effort was required on a hard surface.** One great feature is the side buttons are located on the top ridges of the sides of the mouse so if you tend to exercise your fingers a bit while using a mouse like I do, you will make less mistakes. I like that.** The base of the mouse has a dedicated on/off switch which I like. According to the manual you don't really need it as it has a built in timer and will turn off by itself but I am "old school" and just like to turn things off when I want to.** Battery life is claimed to be 30 months depending on conditions: use of a dark mouse pad draws more energy than a light pad for example. I would assume if you like to sit there and wave the mouse back and forth to make up your mind on something you would use more battery there too. Only time will tell whether this is true or not.** The mouse is programmed for 5 DPI levels that are selectable from the top wheel button: 800/1200/1600/2000/3000 DPI. 2000 is the default. The selection of this can be done by pushing the wheel button down or forgetting to use the mouse for a long time. Not sure why this is this way but perhaps when the mouse goes into its energy saving mode, it has to do this.** Finally, the specifications are listing this mouse as a Windows mouse and warns that use under other operating systems may reduce mouse functionality such as loss of the wheel. I am on an Apple MACBOOK, OS-X 10.7.5 and the mouse takes to my MAC like a duck to water. Am I in a small group? I can only tell you it works fine on 10.7.5.The Cons:The only issue I had was when I initially received the mouse, I opened the package but did not see the Wireless USB plug. It's human nature I think to do a quick inventory when receiving a new product so I wrote the company and reported this. While waiting over the weekend for a reply I took out the mouse, opened the battery cover to verify what size battery and there was the Wireless USB plug, stored in a small slot made for storing it. I now know to look at this for any future mice but I did feel a bit uncomfortable at first. All in all, a pleasant experience and an easy mouse to recommend. If it works this well for my old Apple, it should fly on any Windows machine. The company is responsive and cares about their equipment. I like them and I will keep their products in mind because of this.Sleep mode feature is great and saves battery without having to shut the mouse off manually.I've been using this mouse for about a week now. Overall, I am happy with it, and will continue to use it.I give this mouse 4 out of 5 stars, based on a few things that are just personal preference, of which others may not find as a negative. The things I like about this mouse: First, it was packaged in Tecknet's usual "frustration free packaging," something I hope will catch on with other companies someday! The mouse is truly plug and play. Out of the box, and working on my laptop just seconds later. The USB dongle has its own little compartment where the batteries go. This is something really simple that none of my previous wireless USB mouses have had. Something I never thought of myself but now I'm like "why didn't my other mouses have this?" Another feature I like, that I haven't had on past wireless USB mouses, is that it goes dormant when it has been idle for several minutes. This caught me off guard at first when I moved the mouse after it had been idle, and nothing happen. A quick click of any button will wake the mouse back up.The first thing I found I didn't like was that this mouse's default sensitivity is not very high. When plugged into my laptop on the same settings as my previous mouse, the mouse felt pretty unresponsive. This may not be a negative for some. I am a gamer, so my gaming mouse which I use on my PC is very sensitive, so I keep my work mouse on my laptop at a similar sensitivity because that is what I am used to. This is not a deal breaker, because turning up the sensitivity in mouse settings is easy enough to do. Once I turned up the sensitivity the responsiveness is fine.Sensitivity aside, and going back to PROS of this mouse.. the optical component is smooth. I haven't experienced any jitters or cursor jumps. But back to the things I don't like as much... the weight of the mouse is a bit unbalanced. The batteries sit in the back of the mouse, so it's heavy in the back, and lighter in the front. Again, this is not a deal breaker, but it is something that I've had to adjust to, and something that my gaming mouse does not have in common, so it always feels a little wonky swapping between them. I am sure some people won't even notice this. And if you make this your main mouse, then you won't have to worry about readjusting. The last thing that I personally don't like is that the mouse has a gloss finish. Again.. this is more based on the fact that I am not used to this, more so than it is a true con. I am pretty sure that every mouse I have ever had has had a matte finish, so it feels reeeeally weird using a glossy mouse. It only took about a day or so to adjust to this, but just like the weight of the mouse, it will feels a bit wonky switching between my gaming PC to my laptop. So far, all of my experiences with Tecknet products have been solid, and this mouse is no exception. It is a good product overall, and I will continue to use it. And I hope that one day Tecknet will make a matte-finish, 20-button MMO gaming mouse because I will be all over that :)Vfm. Great build quality. Great ergonomics n dpi settings. Rubberized grip too good. This product stopped working after 15 days. the cursor doesn't move and the click doesn't work. I had changed the battery.Good
