Does anyone take the batteries out of their clocks at the end of their work day? Does anyone need to turn off their clocks at any point ever - before the battery runs out? The answer is most likely - No, not necessary.1. No power switch to worry about. It's a simple clock mechanism that runs on one AA battery - just like a basic analog wall clock. Change the battery twice a year with your smoke detector at DST if you must before the battery expires.2. I have an MX Master 2S - it's a wide mouse - it fits and works. It sits on top of the pedestal/stand and does hang off the edges, but that's good!!3. No USB. So many reasons that are super good and great. The USB jigglers that say "undetectable", ummm, no. You plug one into a port and the port now has an object attached and recognizable. Say no to USB.4. I don't know of any pointer that bounces back and forth when it meets the side of the screen - that motion is basically Pong lol.5. You may not see the cursor moving (as above), but the dial is still making the slow circular motion that keeps the (optical) cursor awake, kinda like an analog clock...my Teams stays GREEN. I can be at my desk working and suddenly Teams is yellow - I'm right there working people - this also means lock screen shortly. It takes a painful amount of time to unlock my system.6. No electricity, no plugs, no cords or cables, no ports, no USB, no noise - what's not to like. It does the job it's designed for in the most basic minimalist functioning way I can think of. It does not need to be fancy or shiny. Beyond Simple.7. Must have an optical mouse, but who doesn't these days?8. It would be nice if the pedestal/stand could maybe be less tall, which would make it more portable and take up a wee bit less room on my desk.
